Feedback from the 2014 Conference:
"I thought this year's conference was excellent. It had a good mix of outside speakers, networking opportunities and adviser lead workshops. The venues were top rate and the organisation superb."
-----------
"The conference gave me a great chance to keep in touch with my industry peers and providers. We all get so busy in the business that taking time to get updated in technology, economic updates and business practices gets put aside."
------------
"A great venue and location. Excellent speakers. A great way to have some fun pick up a few new business ideas and to get enthused to face the second half of the year. I'll be back next year."
------------
"I found the conference to be of great value. As a new adviser I was inspired by my more experienced colleagues, and feel that I am on the right track as a result."

Welcome Message
[As at 10 June 2015, we have 109 Adviser registrations including 23 New Advisers and 2 Adviser Business Staff. Also 32 Spouse or Partners have registered]
Welcome to The Association Conference 2015 to be held at the Rydges Hotel, Queenstown.
Due to strong Adviser support following our last Association Conference in Queenstown - themed “Making Business Simple” - we are excited to once again continue past traditions and continue some that are new. The Memorial Keith Deal Trophy will once again be hotly contested at the golf tournament; a semi-formal dinner is set for the second evening; and high involvement by AMP Advisers throughout the three days is built into the framework.
We have structured plenty of networking time enabling suppliers to maximise the opportunity to engage with Advisers one to one - with new opportunities to meet our newest Advisers.
Our 2013 Conference theme was “Back to Basics”, which was, we felt, a timely reminder of the need for Advisers to refocus on their businesses after a sustained period of regulatory change.
For 2014 our theme was “Making Business Simple” - the need for Advisers to break down what has become a much more complex environment into doing the things that matter, every day. Our conference delivered a series of sharp, simple, easily understood messages backed by “one pager” plans and templates.
Following the same evolutionary path, our theme for the 2015 Conference is “Why You?” - which will address the challenges faced by Adviser Businesses and Advisers operating in the face of turbulent markets, consumer scrutiny, increasingly diversified sales initiatives and channels, confusing messages and client choice.
For the snow lovers there is the added attraction of Queenstown’s famous Winter Festival which runs from 19-28 June 2014. This is New Zealand's - and perhaps the southern Hemisphere's - biggest celebration of winter. It's a ten day extravaganza of Queenstown's unique culture and community with street parties, fireworks, international and local acts, comedy, family fun, and plenty of Mountain Mayhem.
Why not stay a few more days, taking advantage of our special Conference hotel rates of $135 per night (including GST), and experience one of New Zealand’s truly international-quality tourist events.
We would particularly like to highlight the fact that Registration fees are lower this year, almost 10% for some categories. We have managed to implement this due to the support of our primary sponsors. Also thanks to our main sponsors, we again have significant registration fee discounts for new advisers (appointed after 1 January 2012) - for example Advisers appointed in 2015 are able to register for the conference free of charge.
We welcome your spouse/partner and encourage you both to attend our gala dinner, activities and our Plenary day (Thursday) where there will be a range of speakers and entertainment.
We look forward to your support and to seeing you at The Association Conference in June 2015.
Kind regards
